The United States promotes the growth of new natural gas processing capacity

According to the World Energy Network on September 23rd, according to data from GlobalData, it is expected that from 2019 to 2023, the United States will promote the growth of new natural gas processing capacity in the global natural gas processing industry from planned and announced (new) projects. By 2023, the United States' contribution to the growth of global natural gas processing capacity will reach around 24%. A report titled "Global Capacity and Capital Expenditure Prospects for Natural Gas Processing Plants" states that by 2023, the new natural gas processing capacity in the United States will reach 16.9 billion cubic feet (bcfd) per day. Projects with planned and confirmed development plans account for 53% of the newly built capacity, which is 9 billion cubic feet, with the remaining 7.9 billion cubic feet expected to come from projects announced earlier. Dipayan Chakraborty, an oil and gas analyst at GlobalData, said: "It is expected that 87 new natural gas processing plants will be built in the United States during the outlook period. Among them, the Bighorn and Smithburg II-VI factories will have the highest production capacity, with each factory producing 9.99 million cubic feet (mmcfd) per day. The Bighorn factory is expected to start production in 2020. The Smithburg II-VI is expected to start production in 2022 According to GlobalData, Russia's natural gas processing capacity growth ranks second in the world, with an additional 13.1 billion cubic feet of natural gas processing capacity expected to be added by 2023. The Ust Lug Natural Gas Processing Plant is the largest natural gas processing plant in Russia, with a new natural gas processing capacity of 4.3 billion cubic feet by 2023. Saudi Arabia ranks third, with a new natural gas processing capacity increasing by 7.8 billion cubic feet by 2023. The Tanajib Natural Gas Processing Plant is the largest natural gas processing plant to be built in Saudi Arabia, with a production capacity of 2.8 billion cubic feet by 2023
